I got these to put on my junky Schwinn Voyager GS hybrid bike. With the original 700x40 tires the thing was fantastically, deceptively fast. I could routinely push the highest gear and book on the thing. However, the rear was worn, and I needed dependable tires for commuting. Hence, I bought these Ribmos. They are high quality and spin true, and the weight at about 560 grams is what's to be expected for tires of this size THAT HAVE FLAT PROTECTION. Having stated this, these tires seriously slowed my bike down big time. I no longer go anywhere near my big ring. I first inflated these to 60 psi (what my old tires were at), and they were a dog. 90 psi (they're rated to 95) is better, but they're still noticeably slower than my original, generic tires. I think this is due to the flat protection belting. You can pump these things to high Heaven, and they still have a pretty squirmy tread that evidences thick rubber and layers of whatever between the inner carcass and the road. These HAVE been flat free, which is great, considering that the roads and industrial debris in my area are pretty bad, but just be warned: the protection comes at a price, and that price is a slower tire.Read full review

I live where there are nails, screws, glass, sharp rocks etc. This is the first tire I've bought (other than fat boys on my old 26 inch mountain bike used as a bike trail bike) that has held up as a rear tire. The michelin city tire works ok on the front, but I tore one up on the rear. I'm almost 200 pounds and this thing has worked well so far. I bought the 700cc X 35mm size. YMMV on other sizes. City tires has been fine on the back of my son's 700cc X 28mm bike.
