An Okay Movie
This movie isn't the best movie we've seen. It does make a good rental movie. The story line is plausible enough - although a mole in the Secret Service has never happened. To be able to watch this movie, you have to allow that it is plausible enough that it could possibly happen. Although we understand that certain things have to happen in order for the story line to continue, you may be left wondering how Secret Service agents could let one man - albeit another Secret Service agent - get through their fingers. It is a bit disconcerting knowing what we do know about the Secret Severvice. The best part of this movie is actually the bonus features. We enjoyed the behind the scenes look at retired Secret Service agents in action. It gave us an appreciation for their job and the sacrifices they have to make along the way. If for no other reason, see the movie for the bonus features. These men and women are true heroes.Read full review

The Sentinel Sizzles With Veteran Actors And Good Plot
For those who really appreciate films that gather top Box Office Draws From Yesteryear, this film really sizzles with Michael Douglas and Kim Basinger as secret lovers hiding there feelings in the most unsuspecting way. Although The Sentinel was a remake, the story by Gerald Petievich seems to be just as powerful todays as it was when it first hit the screen. Pete Garrision (Michael Douglas) works for Secret Service in a high ranking capacity and is duly trusted by his President and his peers, however, he has a big secret. He's having an affair with First Lady Sarah Ballentin (Kim Basinger). If discovered, he could lose his well earned stripes as a permanent fixture in the Secret Service ever since he took a bullet for President Ronald Reagan. His decades of service have paid off, as he is now in charge of protecting the First Lady from harm. It comes to the attention of special investigator Agent David Breckenridge (Kiefer Sutherland) that there is a mole planted within the secret service with a plan to assassinate President John Ballentine (David Rasche). Garrison soon finds himself the primary suspect when he fails the lie-detector test. New special agent Jill Marin (Eva Longoria) also feels unsure about Garrison, but later helps Garrison prove his innocence. Breckenridge is convinced that Garrison slept with his wife years before, which damaged their friendship. This was really not the case, but somehow, Breckenridge could never believe otherwise. Breckenridge seemed hell-bent to take Garrison down. After much ado, Garrison is finally accused of treason because of circumstances keep pointing to his involvement, which somehow, Garrison implicates himself by waiting for an secret meeting at a Foreign Coffee Shop. Garrison begins a wild goose chase with cat and mouse as the truth becomes less clear. Is Garrison running in order to escape, or is he trying to prove his innocence while protecting his secrets? We may never stop the mole from completing his task. Director Clark Johnson (S.W.A.T.) also appears in the film as Agent Charlie Merriweather. Other featured actors include Martin Donovan, Ritchie Coster, and Blair Brown who is just as beautiful now as she was 25 years ago. I'll give this film a 4/5 for intense action and suspense. Good evening in...
This was one of the better shoot-em-up, we have a mole in the secret service action dramas! Great acting with a lot of high powered names in the starring roles. I definitely recommend this one. The only reason it did not get an excellent was because it was a tad bit short of SPY GAME, my all time favorite! And that other great one with Gene Hackman and Will Smith... where they were using the satellites to spy on people and track them... In any case, this one is definitely worth watching.

wonderful crooked goverment movie
i ahve to say this is five stars..its not that the action was great or anything but the story was...I love movie having to do with president security etc..If you like movies about thw white house, cia, president security, crooked cops, or men in blue gone bad then this is one for you to watch.. i loved it.. this movie had great actors and was a pleasure to watch.. it shows us how noone is safe in life, trust no one and anything can happen at anytime.. not to mention a secret affair too... this movie from start to finish has you thinking who is the bad CIA agent you will guess and guess and still not get it .. and then the one that is a good cia agent gets targeted.. please add the movie to your collection and watch it i am sure if you like what i listed above in movies then you will certainly love this enjoy!!!Read full review
