Get ready to launch a rocket into the stratosphere with the Quest Aerospace Zenith II Model Rocket Kit (QUS3005). This high-performance, two-stage model rocket can reach altitudes of up to 1,500 feet, depending on the rocket payload. You can add a variety of items to the model rocket's payload compartment. Try adding a liquid, strobe lights, action figures, and even insects if you'd like. Another way to enjoy the model rockets payload compartment would be to put different weights in on various flights. You can gauge the effects of different weights on the altitude of the Quest model rocket. This Quest kit has everything you need to put together a model rocket with a two-stage payload. You should find one plastic payload section that is red. There are also three fins per stage and 18-millimeter engines for both stages. There are self-adhesive, dual-color decals included that can give your Quest model rocket some style as it soars upward. You can also find in your Quest model rocket kit a Kevlar shock cord that attaches to the engine mount. That, in turn, pulls up through the body and attaches to an elastic shock cord and the payload compartment. It's a great advantage for a couple of reasons. Kevlar is fireproof, which is an advantage with a model rocket. Another reason is that your Quest model rocket stays together, so you get your model rocket back in one piece. The recovery system for this Zenith II rocket is a 14-inch plastic parachute. This is a two-stage Quest model rocket kit. A two-stage means that there are two engines stacked one on top of the other. The lower booster motor ignites the upper motor, and they fire in succession. This action helps the rockets to obtain a very high altitude. There are no complicated electronics or additional launch equipment needed. Quest model rocket kits have oversized fins on the booster stage. The fins are made of Balsa wood. They make it lightweight for a faster launch so that the rocket descends slowly, making the landfall gentle, and the colorful parachute makes it easier to find the model rocket on the ground. The Quest Aerospace Zenith II Rocket measures 0.9800 inches in diameter and 22.8 inches in length. The construction of this model rocket is highly stable so you can enjoy straight up flights after launch. These two-stage Quest rockets have a skill level of three. It is recommended that the builder has had previous experience assembling model rockets and working with rocket engines. This can be excellent for multiple flights and for anyone who is venturing into staged flights. To complete this Quest rocket kit, just gather a pencil, a ruler, some scissors, some masking tape, and an X-ACTO knife. Get some good adhesive, such as white or wood glue, and you should be ready to make a rocket.
