why wouldnt you use this?
Like I said why wouldn't someone replace an old one with this automatic change over regulator. I and my family have 1 motorhome and 4 travel trailers that I maintain. I have put these on every one of them except the motorhome. It only has the one tank so don't need it. So convient to just look at it and see if the red flag is showing. If it is, then the tank is empty and it has automatically switched over to the other tank. All you have to do is shut off the valve on the empty tank, unhook the hose, take the tank off the trailer to go and refill it. Switch the little black indicator on the front to point to the full tank, and the red flag goes away. When the empty tank is refilled, just replace it and hook up the hose and then open the valve, and it is ready to automatically change over ... I purchased this valve back in December, when It started to get cold, We have 2 100lb propane tanks for our home gas logs. Now I have both of these tanks going at the same time with this new changeover regulator. I have already went thru 1 empty tank and the valve rolled over to my spare , easy as could be. I made a good decision getting this valve system , I purchased 2 new POL lines and she was good to go. Easy as eating cake. Just follow the easy instructions and you cannot go wrong. Great price on a quality regulator.
The best price I could find ANYWHERE for an auto changeover regulator. It included a mounting bracket not shown in the listing, so installing it was easy. It fixed the obvious problem with my old regulator: not switching over to the full tank, but also fixed a problem I was having with appliances blowing out, probably due to unstable pressure delivered by the old regulator.

It works
Had to remove 1/4 X 1/8 pipe thread adaptors as my existing hoses are 1/4 NPT, but an easy installation. Works great so far. As mentioned in another review it has a single hole mounting bracket as opposed to the more common dual hole configuration. Actually should make changing tanks easier.
