Recieved camcorder in excellent condition not in original box but a nice replacement although small. Camcorder worked nicely. Battery that came with it was off brand. Canon could not read it so I purchased a decoded one 3000Mhz for $15 works great now you can tell how much battery you have when sliding into camcorder and what's left when done. Had to purchase missing cables. New that when purchasing but I was able to upgrade and get the ones I wanted. Didn't come with a AC charger but it did come with battery charger. That's really all you need as long as you have good batteries, 4hr. I paid $120 something no bidding even though it came without some items I only spent an extra $20 on them + an extra $10 for AC charger if I even buy one probably get another battery instead. You can get a dual battery charger for $9. All and all it was better than paying $399 for a new one in fancy box.Read full review

There are some differences between the Vixia HF R800, R80, and the R82. The R82 is the top of these but honestly, none of these differences have any real world impact so get whichever is on sale. Simply put, this is the best entry level camera by far. You can plug in external mics (powered mics), add a wide angle (as pictured for under $20 more), and get a wide variety of accessories and batteries for this handy little cam. Picture quality and stabilization are outstanding in 1080p.
