I looked at tripods for weeks before finding the 668c model. It had almost all of the same features as some of the expensive tripods being marketed as rifle tripods or shooting platforms. This worked perfectly! I would highly recommend giving this a try for either photography or as a rifle tripod.

Atomic Rich bought this tripod as a travel tripod for dslr astrophotography and landscape photography. The unit is rock steady and you can always add weight on the lower hook if required. The fit and finish are wonderful. It was money well spent. It's just as nice as other name brands that cost much more.

The Gitzo tripod with similar function is nicer, but that costs upwards 10 times more. For the price, this is a great tripod. The ball head is not fancy, but very functional. The tripod legs don't open very wide in its normal position, but seems stable enough and works well in most situations.
