I needed a way to convert 8mm movies to dvd. I had wonderful moments of my daughter's baby and toddler years trapped on those 8mm tapes and the video camera that I had used to make the tapes had stopped working. Sending the videos to someone to copy was expensive and did not allow me to edit as needed. I am so happy to say that all of the tapes have played on this player and been viewed, edited and copied by me successfully and for a lot less money than sending to a professional. I am extrememly happy with this product and plan to use it to tape recent events as needed.
