Product Information

Pirates Plundarrr is a side-scrolling combat adventure with a lighthearted presentation, well suited for cooperative multiplayer play. In the retro style of arcade games such as The Simpsons or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, up to four players control weapon-wielding pirate characters as they make their way through Caribbean-inspired 2D levels. Characters have a limited ability to move back and forth, toward or away from the front of the screen, as well as moving right and left. The storyline has players in pursuit of a bandit named Rudebelly, whose magical scepter allows him to summon forth monsters and zombies, providing plenty of enemies to fill out the levels. More than 40 different enemy types challenge players throughout the game, and each level ends with a boss encounter. Players can improve their chances of survival by collecting powerful weapons as they advance through each stage, and experience points earned in combat are used to upgrade attacks.

    Fun Platform Fighting and Cool Weapons

    I purchased the game because it had some pretty good reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I have to say that if it wasn't for a 13 yr old that came to visit, it would still be sitting on the shelf waiting. He started playing and I had to join in. This platform game is fun without being too hard or too easy. It is much easier to play on the two player mode than alone. We had fun fighting over the weapon upgrades in 2 player mode. As you go through each level, the more damage you inflict, the more you get to level up and make your attacks more powerful as well. We had a great time fighting in the arenas to get more money & jewels to spend at the store for better weapons and outfits and getting more stars to do our specialized attacks. We even played a couple rounds vs. each ...

    Great Game and Great Value

    I bought this game for my grandson, he loves to come over and play the wii. It is very age appropriate, he is 6 years old. He has had lots of fun playing the game and when the grandson is happy, then I am happy.

    Fun beat'em up with rpg elements. good replay value. cool art style. would recommend to anyone. only downfall is a little long load times.
