I recently purchased a gently used Hitachi MV350A, and also 60 mini DVD-R disc and a SD card. Well when I tried to record I discovered that the mini DVD-R / DVD-RAM requires a special disc caddy, which the buyer never included - this caddy at one time was made by Maxell and now is discontinued. I searched everywhere on the web but I took me approximately a week to find someone, in Europe, that still has these - the Maxell brand in stock. When I contacted Maxell they stated they stopping making these several years ago - Hiyachi's website is horrible and no help; also I sent e-mails to their support team but no one responded. When I finally got to record, quality was okay but not exceptional and then each disc will only hold 30 minutes (you have to have lots of space to keep all of your valuable memories). In the long run, you should go with the newer technology and the HDD type camcorder (built in hard drive).Read full review
I love the small compact size of the Hitachi. It is so easy to operate and takes great pictures.I am not that good at picture taking and all u do is point and snap and it makes u look like a professional. We were going to Disneyworld on vacation and we wanted to capture the experience.Buying the Hitachi was a good investment and we are pleased.
