I was happy to make my old eMac have a fresh breath of life by giving it wireless. Sadly, no one likes to post the specs for this. This is not a very fast wireless card; moreover, it doesn't connect with my AirPort Extreme in its draft mode. I have to,scale it back to 2.5 gHz so that it can connect. Doing this slows the entire network to a crawl. It'd be better to subnet and put it on a slow network just for it, I’m not doing that. I'll live and learn. I'll get an airport express and extend my network with it and plug my eMac into that port. It'll work much faster that way.

After fiddling with the fit through the aluminum slot in my 2003 Power Mac G5, the card popped right into place. More cursing was required to get the antenna cable inserted into the card (not only a test of your manual dexterity, but also your near-field vision!) and it was off to the races. I connected a Hawking 2.4GHz Hi-Gain Corner Antenna to the computer's external antenna port and the reception has been astounding.

I had to go to YouTube to learn how to install it. It was easy to install and connect. The price was far better than what I expected. Thank you!!!!
