I really like all the features on the Panasonic phone. The newer the model, though, the flimsier the plastic casings are. The silver buttons - "Talk", "Off", "Sp-Phone", and"Pause" look like the silver will wear off very soon. The plastic around the speaker is of a brittle cheaper type of plastic and I hope I don't drop the phone too often and crack it. My first Panasonic phone lasted for 8 years, my second for 3 years and I hope that this one lasts longer than the second one. Otherwise, I LOVE the features and they are easy to use. The interface is intuitive, the voice that announces numbers pronounces most names very well and is quite audible without being obnoxious. Speakerphone quality is great right now - I've only been using the phone for 2 days. I like the features so much that even though the casing is flimsy, this pohone is my favorite to use.Read full review
I was looking for a cordless phone with Dect 6 for more privacy and ease of use. I had already bought a Panasonic for my business phone and liked the features of it. This phone has a voice caller I.D. which comes in handy but is usually hard to make out what it's saying. But I am getting more used to it and can understand it some of the time. I was especially looking for a speaker phone as I use the phone while I work. This phone does have a speaker phone on the headset and it comes in very handy when on hold for someone. I don't usually talk on the speaker phone but I will be trying out that feature eventually. Also has a nifty night time shut-off that comes in handy if needed. All in all, a good phone for what I was looking for. onlybev
I purchased the KX-TG9333T phone system because of all of the extra features. Pros: The feature menu is very easy to use. I like the lighted buttons and the sleep mode. The talking caller I.D. is good unless the name you have in your phone book listing is spelled or sounds different than the spelling. Sometimes you cannot understand what the talking caller I.D. is saying. Cons: The missed call feature does not tell you who called or what their number was. It just says that you had a missed call. This can be bad if the caller does not leave a message. Other than the cons mentioned above, I like the phone very much. Easy to use and program. This phone is much better quality than the phone I had before.
Liked the price, the ease of installation, and simpleness to use. Have always trusted panasonic product over the years, and this phone is no exception. Bought this for my mother in law who is 82 years old and she needed 3 phones with an ansering machine. The other unit she had just bought was a uniden, not good, she took it back. It had static, and the batteries are not very good. WOuld not recommend a uniden, for just a little more this unit is the best cordless phone for the money.
PROS LIGHT-UP KEYPAD(!), Night Mode, talking caller ID, great voice-quality & range AND MORE! CONS Why didn't they make this sooner? Recommended it? Yes The Bottom Line: I love this phone and see no need to look further. It has everything I've ever wanted in a phone! I parted with an old friend recently (the Panasonic KX-TG1034) because I just couldn't live without a light-up keypad. Sounds funny, I know, but after feeling like a prank-caller from misdialing so many times, I knew I needed to upgrade. Luckily, this newcomer is just like my old friend, with several bonuses: the coveted light-up keypad, automatic phonebook adjustments, distinctive ringtones for each caller, talking caller ID, and Night Mode. This phone was even easier to program than my old friend because I didn't have to constantly "Copy" each person's name and number into the phonebook of all 6 phones. It was done automatically each time I entered a new number. The distinctive ringtones and talking caller ID are optional -- you can turn them off, but I love knowing who is calling without even being near the phone -- I programmed it to ring differently for each person in my phonebook AND it announces the caller using the name I programmed into the phone. The announcer's voice is a bit strange ("Mom" sounds like "Mum", for example), but it's easy to get the idea. And if there are ever any questions, you can always look at the nice-sized screen on any handset like in the old days of caller ID. Night Mode is a gift from Panasonic that I thank them for each time someone misdials at 3:00 in the morning (you've gotta get light-up keypads, people!). How many times have you settled into a comfy spot for the night and a wrong number wakes you up? Using Night Mode, you can program one phone (or all) to not ring between certain hours that you can set. The phones still light up, so if you're awake, you can still SEE the phone ringing, but you can't hear it or the answering machine. Then each morning, without any sound or prompting from you, it returns to a normal phone at the time you programmed. Pardon the pun, but it sounds like a dream for day-sleepers too. Love it! The new Panasonic is the same as the old one in that the voice-quality and range are exceptional. As I mentioned in my other review, I have VoIP through the cable company, and it can be tempermental at times. I have gotten rid of several 2.4 and 5.8 GHz phones because I hate repeating myself to "What?" and "Huh?" from the other end of the line. Panasonic has ended that problem: I have never needed to repeat myself due to a bad connection with either of these phone systems. For the past year I have owned them, I have not heard a speck of static in either the new or the old Panasonic phones. The Panasonic DECT technology does not interfere and is not interfered with by my wireless network or microwave. I have gone over 100 feet away from the base unit, outside (think heavy, cinderblock walls in between the handset and base unit), and it still sounds like the caller is right next to me. It has never dropped a call. The battery life is incredible. I had such luck with my old friend that I purchased this system used on eBay just like the last one. Knowing that these batteries had been used and possibly abused, I am always amazed that they last for easily a week on standby and I haven't been able to exhaust one yet by talking on it.Read full review
