I bought this game because I love those games that take you deep into the mysteries of ancient Egypt, or other strange uninhabited worlds , such as Myst, Riven, Exile, Atlantis etc. While the graphics were excellent and one could save the game as many times as needed,there was a constant audio problem, where the conversation would suddenly cut out in the middle of a cut scene. Sometime,returning to the previous 'save' might bring up the missing conversation - and sometimes not. The story line was dissapointing - I had thought that one would encounter secret passages, ancient curses, possible death and the Ark fairly early on in the game-play. Yes, there were some secret passages under the Vatican - but not so secret as to stop the Italian mafia being there together with our hero and ... In sum, this was not really a game about the mysteries of the ancient Ark of the Covenant as much as it was a detective type story. The ark itself was only finally discovered at the very last few moments of the game in a cut scene. Finally, even though this is just a game, I was dismayed with the end scene in which "George" smashes the golden angel wings with his golf club. Very irreverant and sacreligious ! If the Ark of the Covenant were ever to be be discovered, it would arguably be the most incredible world shattering treasure EVER to be discovered. Ever !! Priceless beyond compare !One would NOT be smashing it to pieces. It is holy beyond holy and anyone coming close to it (if it were actually found ),would die.In fact, this happened in an incident in the Old Testament where the Ark was being transported by the Israelites through the desert. One of the porters stumbled in the sand and inadvertantly touched the ark to steady himself. He died immediately ! In summary, the game had audio problems ( might have been my RealTek audio ), was mostly a searching game in New York, Istanbul and Arizona, with the ark discovered in just the last few seconds and finally,the game designers audacity in having George smash this holy relic. I do not reccomend this game Charles
