Being a Narnia fan ever since when, I was looking forward to playing this game and reliving the movie experience. The gameplay part was pretty good - kind of a button masher. It was good to be able to change characters. I enjoyed the change of landscape from winter to spring. Wireless multiplay would have been great if I could have found another player with the cartridge. What left me flat were the "cutscenes". Close-ups of the characters really showed the weakness of the DS graphics or else they just did a bad job creating them. The most momentous part of the story - the sacrifice of Aslan - lasted about 2 seconds. I wasn't even sure if Aslan had been killed! The Final Battle left me feeling flat too as well as the final cutscene. MOST IMPORTANT! Here is a cheat code for invincibility. At the title screen. On the right side buttons (can't rembember which are XYAB) but you go RIGHT LEFT UP DOWN. The on the left side direction controller you go UP UP DOWN DOWN. You will hear laughter. Then you are INVINCIBLE!!Read full review
What an incredible game!! I was sucked in! I am an adult, so don't know if that made the game more managable for me than some of the other who've left reviews, but I found it to be a great challenge, but nothing beyond the realm of my ability. (Trust me, I have ADD and I can't stick with something very long! This game didn't catch me up very often.) In response to some of the other reviews. The Nintendo DS isn't known for its "movie" playing ability...the PSP is. Nintendo DS is know for it's "video game" graphics, which are pretty cool. I wouldn't have given it a 2 rating just based on the graphics of the mini-movies. Yes, animals die, but they do in the movie to, so I would expect that to happen in the game. Based solely on gameplay and use of problem-solving skills, this game gets a 5/5 from me all the way! (It does help gameplay if you've seen the movie.)Read full review
The Game is very fun to play and has a lot of great features. I wanted to buy it becuase i bought the Prince Caspian game, and then i wanted to see if they had this game, but it wasn't in stores (that i saw). Then i checked on ebay and it was on here so i bought it :]
I was reluctant at first to buy this game because it was for my Grandson who is only 6 but he was able to figure it out and has worked his way past the first two levels already and he dearly loves it. He plays it on his DS Lite and the graphics are quite good. It is a great adjunct to the movie and the book. If you liked the books and the movies of this series you will certainly enjoy the game also.
I like this game because I watched the movie and it's fun to play. I don't care for the animals dieing. It's not a game that you can finish fast which is another reason I like it. Not bad if you buy it used. I'd be pretty bummed if I spent $30 on it though.
