I bought this monitor because I really wanted to game in higher than 1080p. I'm happy to say that this monitor has worked flawlessly since I took it out of the box. I got this as part of eBay's certified refurbished program for about 50% of the list price, which was a great deal. The only con on this monitor is that the color was WAAAY off from my other Acer monitors, and I'm not a nitpicky guy. It takes a lot of adjustment to get it close to correct colors. I've never had a monitor that was this far off out of the box.

Being my first IPS monitor, I can't compare the Acer Nitro XV272U to other current brands/models, but I find the colors vivid and the image crystal clear and bright. It was super easy to set up, though I didn't use the supplied HDMI cable, choosing instead to purchase a mini-displayport-to-display port cable to connect to my MSI laptop. Playing FPS games, the image update is smooth. I was afraid the IPS wouldn't update fast enough, but my fears were unfounded.

Was hesitant to go with a refurbished but did my research and am also glad to see it's sold from Acer themselves. Refurbished tends to get a bad reputation, but my monitor is in near perfect condition. No issues detected after a couple weeks now, and it's good peace of mind knowing there's a multiple year warranty on it. Can't beat the price anywhere else!

Great monitor for the price, beautiful colors and rich range, IPS glow is barely noticeable in dark scenes would have easily been a 5 star review if it wasent for the marketing involved with the response time. It is NOT 1ms out of the box. You need a DP 1.4 cable (not included) and will have to live with the fact that HDR mode can’t be used with VRB to get the 1ms refresh rate. Personally I’m fine with the stock 3.6ms using HDR mode because the colors are just phenomenal but I honestly bought the monitor and didn’t spend a little more because it was listed as 1ms. Still recommend this monitor to the moon and back if 3.6ms refresh isn’t a problem for you.

Got a good deal on this refurbished model. The picture quality is crisp and defined. I was going for a step up from 1080p, and that is precisely what it delivers. The framerate response makes it well worth every penny.
