I just plugged it in and the signal came on and my phone went from 1 bar to 3 bars when making a call. Text worked better as well. Does not necessarily improve personal hot spot on my phone for using my lap top.

I bought this to replace an old ZBoost Metro unit that died. I wan't sure the metro antenna would work with this one, but an agent from ZBoost thought it would. I crossed my fingers and connected the two. Voila! Strong signal. This works much better than the old Metro unit.
