I've only had the stand for a couple of weeks, and onIy used it twice, so these should be considered initial impressions rather than the result of a thorough field test. I don't think I would want to try to do a lot of typing while my laptop is on this stand, but it works very well for my purpose: Holding the laptop at a good height to view while lecturing and giving a Power Point presentation. Having the laptop at table height put it too far from my eyes to read easily, and so low that I was looking down more than I wanted. This stand puts the screen high enough to read comfortably, and the minimal amount of typing and mouse that I need to switch to the next section is not a chore. It's easy to move from eye contact with my audience to the screen and back up. Still, I'd hate to have to type a letter or other document from a standing position with this stand, as the keyboard gets angled more and more as the stand is moved into the highest positions. The size is a real bonus -- It fits in the case with my projector and cords, whereas I had been using a stand that was more like a breakfast/bed tray, and was 12 x 16 x 1" when closed. This unit is only about 14 x 1.5 x 1.5", and comes with a cloth bag. I sewed up a bag out of light canvas, to protect it better during transport, but it's still almost tiny compared to what I had before. If what you want is something you can use in bed or on the sofa, look elsewhere -- The legs are only 8.5" apart when fully open, so I don't think it's going to fit over your lap. My only concern at this point is whether it will stay on the table top if the table gets bumped. There's no "grip" on the ends of the legs, so on a slick surface (like a plastic table) a bump, or someone tripping over the power cord, could pull it over the edge. My current solution to that is to also carry a 12 x 12" piece of 'grippy' shelf liner material, on which I set the stand before adding the computer. So again I say, this may be perfect, depending on how you intend to use your computer or other device. It would probably be great for watching movies, and maybe for working with a touch screen or stylus.Read full review

by thmjs Sep 28, 2017 Not as easily adjusted as the items costing ten times as much but a great value if it fits one's needs. Because my computer screen only opens about 110 degrees from the keyboard, the height was limited to about six inches; but I was able to make it work well. A more detailed description of how the plane of the keyboard changes with height would be beneficial to prospective buyers.

This is really a nice stand, comes in a super sleek carrying case and fits into small places so its great for you if you're constantly on the go with your macbook. This stand is light weight but still manages to be durable and sturdy and folds down really small. I think this was such a great investment and it's nicer than other stands because it's also adjustable height and angle.

How did I live without this for so long? It is light colored or simple, and a very solid design. I appreciate everything about it and would recommend you get one for yourself did anyone else in your family.
