It's a useful tool to extend my laptop's battery life when I cannot find a power outlet (as happens sometimes). Indispensable when needed. Lighter than I expected, but still adds a fair amount of weight to my laptop bag.

Item was charging only 30% percent of my Macbook Pro Retina 13inch late 2013, with 60W adapter attached on it, and work only 1 hour, contrary to sellers declaration on advertising of up to 3 hours. Also became very hot during charging laptop. If charging was 70% or at least 50% it will be satisfactory in any way, but 30% is ridiculous for this item of almost 60$ with postage fee... I order 2 ChugPlug chargers from this seller and I am greatly dissatisfied and disappointed..

I was looking for a way of running my MBP on long distance aircraft flights ( 3hrs) that don't provide inflight mains power supply support. The ChugPlug is a neat solution as it fits seamlessly between the power point and the existing mains power pack. Operation is exceedingly easy to manage. Only issue that reduced my rating to 4 stars is that I don't appear to be getting the full three hours the manufacturer indicates the ChugPlug will run a 13" MacBook Pro. I'm getting more like 2.5 hours or less. Solution - have more than one ChugPlug to hand. The other critical point to note is that the Mac Book Pro must be 100% charged before the ChugPlug is relied on for battery support otherwise the MBP internal battery will entirely suck the ChugPlug dry in no time.

Good for about 2 more hours on a 2014 MacBook Air. Not bad for the price of $35, but not the 3-4 hours promised. Overall I am happy with it. I would much rather have a larger external battery pack. But the way Apple designed their product this is impossible with out this round about device. This is basically an external battery and AC inverter that connects to Apples AC to DC converter to power your laptop. If Apple did a better design this could easily have more battery cells in it and a longer battery life.

So the device arrives new in box which is great - and it hooks up as advertised - the similarities stop there - I fully charged the device according to directions, tried to use it to charge my laptop, and I got about 30 minutes of it charging the computer and about 10 minutes of battery charge out of it, so about 40 minutes of use compared the advertised three hours - it also weighs a ton - about half as much as the laptop itself - rather dissatisfied
