    Keeps us connected with WiFi no matter where we are in the building complex

    This router need came about because we are in a metal building that's had additions. The WiFi has to punch thru this heavy (24 ga.) siding for us to access the network in remote parts of the facility. With a pair of remote antennas, we can do that easily now. The 2.4 G has greater range than the 5 G, but we are able to access both bands thru the metal siding with no drop-outs and 3 to 4 bars of connection strength. We couldn't do that with our old dual-band router, even with the remote antennas. We tried the antenna idea first thinking the warehouse goods were shielding and blocking the signal. No-Go. It DOES run a bit hotter than the old router, pay attention to ventilation so it will last. The high power feature costs a bit more than a normal router, but for us, the expense is ...

    Barely good device. Require more improvement.

    1)First, there was a malfunction in manufacturing the device. When I opened the cover I discover that the design was modified by the manufacturer and I found an unprofessional soldered wire which was touching the sensitive ICs leg. That's why my router becomes hanged in every boot. I adjusted and fixed back and now it is working fine. 2)I bought this product to extend the wifi range, but it did not help much. 3)There is no bridging facility in router configuration. It forced me to change it to an access point. The device is barely good, and company can put higher effort to master their device.

    Easy setup in 15 minutes. Great signal strength.

    Amped Wireless R2000G setup in less than 15 minutes. I did the generic setup first using the setup.ampedwireless.com then cam back and set my WPA/WPA2 password and SSID name. Nice thing is, If I loose power, I do not loose settings. I had a Xfinity/Comcast Arris TG862G-CT with battery. Every time the power hickups, the settings is lost, even with battery backup. I am using a Linksys DPC3008-CC modem that's authorized by Comcast and I am not having to pay modem rent.

    A good choice for anyone seriously considering an upgrage.

    This product effectively replaced a number of coax lines and an external amplifier to maintain a usable signal in the desired coverage area. Setup was straight forward. No problems since initial install. I would highly recommend this device to anyone seriously considering an upgrade. About the only thing I would suggest is alternate DD-WRT firmware for those of us desiring more hands-on feature control.
