I was in need of something that didn't take up a usb slot on my lap-top and this was the answer. It works great and is a laser mouse which means it works across most anything. It is basic but it was also said to have a long battery life. I haven't had it long enough to answer that, but that was a plus in my book. I didn't like how you install the batteries however; the top cover of the mouse is remove to do so and seem a bit cheaply made. Other than that your'll really like the mouse.

These mice are probably of a decent design overall..I'm no specialist. It's got sort of a rubber coating on it so it feels good in the hand, better grip than a bare plastic one. Shape is a little strange but it doesn't cause me any problems, then again I'm not picky in the least... so yeah. Battery life seems pretty lousy with regular Ni-MH AAs and the Bluetooth Mouse Settings battery indicator for Win7 x64 shows fully charged batteries as only 50-60%. Being Bluetooth, it's prone to some cut-outs and moments where it has to reconnect or reconfigure itself, at least for mine. Its tracking seems pretty fair, nothing abysmal about it, it's a fairly decent mouse when it's working and I actually quite like it. Would I have paid like 30 bucks for it, even brand new? Nah. Was this mouse normally sold in the 10-15 dollar price range, it'd be a great deal. Get far past $20 and your options are gonna start showing up and improving really quick.Read full review

Almost great. I bought this to go with my HP Envy running Windows 8, hoping it would be a good match. It did connect quite easily, but staying connected was another story. It worked until it simply stopped. This happened regularly, usually after booting or waking, but sometimes even while I was using it. Sometimes a reboot brought it back, often not. And it was like Bluetooth completely disappeared from my computer. I wasted plenty of time rebooting, researching, re-installing, etc. and started to think my network/Bluetooth adapter was faulty. What finally worked was installing several updates for my computer, downloaded from HP. (The automatic updater didn't seem to catch everything.) I think it was a combo of bios and network/Bluetooth updates and possibly win8 updates that did the job. Not sure whether the laptop or the mouse is to blame, but this seems like a common problem with the mouse. It still does occasionally stop responding for a moment, but comes back within a couple of seconds. I can live with that, but it knocks the rating down to 4. Best things: battery life is very good, and it's a comfortable fit for this woman's small-ish hands.Read full review
This is one of the best BT mice I've ever used as far as compatibility goes. Other and less expensive mice can be somewhat intermittent on some platforms, but this mouse has been pretty consistent on all of the platforms and devices that I've used it on... from older Android and Windows devices and on the now the iPad OS interface. You've done a good job with this mouse HP.

Used this as a mouse for a $40 Windows tablet. It is responsive and connects instantly every time. I like that it uses a pair of AA batteries - AAAs don't last nearly as long. Comfortable to use as well and I like the scroll wheel.
