Great for Seniors
I purchased this device for a family member who is in a nursing home, it is just a ... I purchased this device for a family member who is in a nursing home, it is just a base unit and you plug your own phone into it. This works great for a senior citizen, simple, and they cant loose it since it is not a small cell phone. One more thing, my neighborhood has horrible Verizon coverage but this unit works just fine in my house, probably since it has a better antenna. Verizon added it to my existing plan for $20/month. It has unlimited calling (including long distance). Eventually I will replace my 100% reliable land line with this unit and then it can come along with us in our camper on long trips. Also, I paid about 1 fifth the price for a new unit using Ebay instead of the Verizon store.
