This is the last option you have for a well supported mPCIe Wireless-N card. It works great, even when your system only has 2.4g antennas, but of course the 5Ghz services will suffer accordingly.

Nice Card at an excellent price! Dual Band N wireless & Bluetooth 4.0 in one neat package. At the prices of these cards, one can update many earlier models and not break the bank. Also works on non-HP computers with the same sized card (mine's installed in a Dell Insprion 17R.) It's just that HP (& also Lenovo) requires their SKU to be baked into these, may be as simple as one of the gold pins being different. Who knows & who cares, as long as it works. Also, does NOT work on all HP's across the board, earlier models (pre-2014) will likely not boot with this model installed, of which it was initially purchased for. So watch out there & ensure that this card will work in your HP before buying. I was fortunate to have several notebooks with older cards & due an upgrade to a dual band model. Vanilla Intel wireless & BT drivers works fine on this item, from their site, which are newer than any listed on HP.Read full review

Some HP's & Lenovo's are "whitelisted" & will only work if model number also has the manufacturer's part number.

Arrived in an anti-static bag and was clean. Excellent. Pulled my old Wireless-N 2.4 card and replaced it with this and now I get full wireless-ac and 5GHz.
