This game challenges the player to learn how to play quidditch. Many levels allow the player to learn different techniques and then use them all together to play quidditch like Harry Potter. You beat the timer to win bronze, silver or gold medals and advance to the next round. It is not too hard but you have to play a bit to get the hang of it. Memory is involved because it uses the same sequence. I'm an adult and I enjoy playing it. My 8 year old likes it as well but it is too hard for my three year old--although he still tries! You'll understand the game and its difficulties later when you watch the Harry Potter movies. A great game for Harry Potter fans!
We bought this game because we love Harry Potter and we already owned most of the HP games for Game Boy Advance & Nintendo DS. I found this game to be very repetitive and somewhat boring. The beginning is okay (learning the moves). But when you get to the competitions, the game play is like a hockey game.....back and forth, back and forth. The players are very tiny and only identifiable by their team colors. The most interesting and challenging part is chasing the snitch. Once you learn how to do THAT....then the game play is REALLY boring. Unless you are a Harry Potter fanatic and HAVE to own this game....I would recommend buying something else.
My brother and I would play against each other all the time with this game. Playing it now is fun, although it is a bit easier than I remember. Plus I mean each game is basically the same as the last. Still fun though!
