The tablet also has the beats-audio sound system for amazing sound. Buy this tablet. Note: You have to use the original hp barrel charger that came with the touchpad. Charger is a 4.5 amp charger. If the charger ever does not work and tablet is dead, hold the power button down and the small button on the right side in the middle by the end down at the same time for 30 seconds with the charger plugged in the wall, and that resets the charge port. With android installed, these are great tablets.
Nice portable, functional, and great looking device and iPad alternative.

One can create several accounts for email, social networking, and photo storage. It also has a nice apps store which should expand. Storage capacity can be expanded by getting a free 50gb Boxes account. the only drawbacks for me are difficulties accessing the files system and playing videos located on the device and attracting smudges. It plays Youtube, Dailymotion, and demo videos very well, however, I cannot locate the vidwos I uploaded to the device for play. The glossy finish attracts fingerprints, but does clean-up well witht he included cleaning cloth.
I bought it because it was inexpensive and not an Android, Windows or Mac. I love it's size and was able to type on it very easily. The office program included is limited in creation options, but it does work with Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and PDFs. Do not plan to do major editing though. I did have trouble downloading documents from the web, but was able to transfer them from another computer and they worked. WebOS looks promising and can pair with Palm to make phone calls. However, I have Android and RIM, but I understand the limitation.
I am satisfied with this product and look forward to using it more in the future.

The positives:
1. Cheap, after HP discounted them all. Even taking into account the mark-up that resellers on eBay are charging.
2. It's not an iPad.
3. The "just type" function is good - as it says you just type whatever it is you're after - be it a website, app, contact, calendar item etc. - and it brings up the choices.
4. Display is good and clear.
The negatives:
1. Availability of apps. Still some way to go to catch-up with iPad, Android (and even Blackberry). With the exception of Kindle, I have everything I actually need though.
2. I can't seem to get the Kindle app at all. One of my justifcations for getting a Touchpad was that I could use it instead of my Kindle. This is the biggest issue for me.
3. Because I imported mine from the US, it comes with a US charger which has a output higher voltage rating (5.3V) than all my other microUSB chargers, meaning that I can't use them, or my minigorilla when travelling. If I try to, the Touchpad refuses to charge and tells you it wants richer food!
To get the best use out of it I've had to move all my calendar stuff to google, and the same with my contacts as this is better than synching with Outlook. But this now means that all my devices (PC, Touchpad and Blackberry) do all have the same stuff now and ultimately is better.
But overall I'm happy with it taking into account how much I paid for it, and the one star drop is due to the Kindle and charging irritations.
Great Product -- Incredible Buy -- Glad that I made this Purchase!

I wanted a high quality notebook at a great price and after many months and much research, I decided to purchase the 32GB Touchpad even though I knew what was going on with HP and the TP Issue. I am so glad that I made that decision. This is a high quality, well built and extremely polished tablet.
As am admitted "Tech Junkie", I am impressed with the user interface and ability to multi task with the Touchpad. Although I don't use many apps, my biggest complaint is the lack of utility and magazine applications.
My wife has the IPAD 2, my daughter has a Samsung android tablet but they will admit that love the Touchpad more. Thank goodness that HP is keeping their promise to continually update WebOS.
Overall one of the best tech decisions that I have EVER made!
An excellent device unfortunately hampered by a poorly managed HP

It is slightly larger but both weigh close and the more rounded back is more comfortable to hold than the thinner iPad.
iPad definately has more applications but the ones the Touchpad does have work very well. You can out of the box edit and save documents on the Touchpad obtained from your google docs account, or setup a new Box account or both simply and easily and also save the files locally from these sources (as well as others) for times you wont have access to WiFi.
Touchpad is also not hindered from being closer to an actual computer like the iPad is by Apple's lockdown of most capabilities.
Would have done better in the marketplace if these differences were touted and the pricepoint wasnt set the same as the iPad.
