I had to review being I have purchased a total of 4 with one being replaced with insurance due to sons carelessness. I have 3 year old triplets that watch YouTube kids nursery rhymes daily and the tablets are tougher than they look. I had to respond to someone reviewing saying it said unopened but couldn’t have been because it was registered, IT IS VERY POSSIBLE TO BE REGISTERED AND UNOPENED. When a Prime account holder purchases it, the device is automatically registered to Prime account holder unless it is marked as a gift. Therefore, when it is first opened it is registered yet never opened. This is a courtesy of amazon for prime members and a great one at that. It makes it super easy for the buyer. So don’t be weary if you get one brand new that says it’s registered,. All you have to do is go in the setttings and Deregister then if you have an amazon account sign into it and if not it will help you create an account rather you plan to be prime, plan to shop or only use the tablet. First, let me say this was a great value and I have enjoyed the Kindle fire and the purchase process was easy and without delay. However, upon opening the Kindle I found it was registered to someone which told me it was not "unopened". This was easy to fix, unregister then re-register, no problem. Description should indicate that it was a previously registered Kindle to better represent it. But, like I said previously there was no problem with it at all.
