Checked this thing paired with Arduino Nano. Works great. The distance was checked up to hundreds of meters. Checked when working with concrete slabs. Was pleasantly surprised that he confidently takes the data through several concrete floors. But if you turn the corner of the house, then the connection is not so sure. I recommend to use it in an open area for remote control at a distance of up to 1 km. Good ratio: price / performance. Note that together with this module it is better to use an additional power support module with 5V to 3.3V, because this module uses 3.3V.

I have built a outdoor weather station and use the nRF24L01+ modules to bring the data indoors. I built a standalone module with a 320 x 480 LCD display for the indoor receiver. The standard modules work well but occasionally the interference from my PC would interrupt the communications so I bought one of these NRF24L01+PA+LNA to overcome this and they worked well. I am now attempting to modify a GPS clock that has been running for a few years. I want to add a nRF24L01 +PA+LNA module to it to send the time to a couple of other devices that I have around the house. These modules have multiple channels so they do not interfere with one another and programming them is made easy by the work of Brennen Ball who has built a library of functions for multiple microcontroller families.

Great value. Good range with dipole antenna. Easy to set up on Arduino using RF24 library.

The device worked well over a good range, I didn't have any trouble setting channels.

These little radio modules are pretty great once you learn how to use them, and the range is MUCH better than the smaller ones with trace antennae. I'd say the "1100m" range is quite optimistic, maybe you could get that range with perfect line-of-sight conditions, but if there's anything between the radios, the range is significantly shorter.
