The Velop AX MX10 WiFi6 system increased coverage in our house during the pandemic (we were previously using the older WiFi 5 model.) There are eight people in the house with over thirty devices continually connected. This model works fast and flawlessly - 97% of the time. A few times so far over the last month, under extreme load with four kids gaming and four adults streaming, the mesh system will drop devices or lag and need a full "reboot". We are still moving the nodes around the house to find optimal coverage. The Linksys Velop app and dashboard are useful but could improve with more sophisticated monitoring tools for technical customers. The Parental Controls are good - but with so many devices in the house, grouping children into categories like "younger" and "older" would make managing device times easier. Also, the limit on number of devices needs to be increased for Parental Control and MAC address filtering. Satisfied with this product, just could use a few minor improvements.Read full review

Bought as I have 5 existing velops in my house of over 5200 sq ft and still have areas of weaker signal. These were upgraded designs which made me feel confident they would fix my weaker areas. They have been very difficult to set up and connect to existing to the point I was on the phone with linksys tech support twice for nearly an hour each time. I believe now after the tech support they are indeed a nice upgrade as signal is stronger but still working a few glitches out but feel hood about linksys and tech support if you have problems.

I purchased the Linksys MX10 system as an upgrade from the Linksys MX5 system. I upgrade because I need internet service in a detached garage/apartment but our local internet service provider wanted to set up service to the structure as separate with another bill. I had 2 nodes already so the purchase of 2 more sovled the problem and also extended service to a large portion of my yard (handy when cutting grass). The extra nodes will pay for themselves in a few months verses paying a seperate internet bill for the garage. Handles all of our devices, with the MX5 we were maxed out with 25 devices, which included smart devices to turn on lights, smart TVs, and security cameras. So far after a few months no issues.

I bought this to replace a three node Velop WiFi 5 system, with two extension nodes (so 5 nodes in total). The old system had worked well until COVID when 5 simultaneous zoom calls and 25-30 devices are not unusual. We were getting nodes dropping out a few times a day which was annoying. I replaced it with this 2 node WiFi 6 set up which covers the whole house very well. I have used one extra node from my old system to provide stronger coverage in the garden. Since upgrading I haven’t had nodes dropping out and the speeds are way improved - over 200 mB on the top floor vs 70-80 mB before. Set up was easy with the Linksys app and their customer support is very helpful and free.

This router has 50% better range than my WiFi 5 router. More importantly is the Qualcomm quad core processor that can handle huge amounts of data. I work from home and have 2 grandchildren that do remote learning. My network has 28 connected devices so these routers handle it easily. Mesh WiFi is such an improvement over access points. When you have a large house with lots of connected devices, you can move seamlessly thru the house.
