Sound is quite impressive, feels very solid and the charging cradle is nice to have. Only small complaint is the price. I found it at a pretty good discount, but even at that lower price there are other brands that offer comparable sound for about the same price or even less(Friend has a $50 Taotronics speaker that sounds almost as good... bass is weaker than the Bose, which has surprisingly good bass). Location can add to or take away from the sound, same as relocating your HT subwoofer. The Bluetooth linked up quickly with no problems. I must say the Bose Sounlink Micro is much smaller and puts out equally impressive sound for $100 retail, which is why I cannot say this is a good value.

after reading all the positive reviews i thought i would give this speaker a try. it sounds clear has great battery life and is super portable. the problem is as of late the newer portable bluetooth speakers sound on par if not better than the bose plus offer more features for much less. my only major complaint is how much u have to raise the volume in order to hear anything at a decent level. with my other speakers I only adjust the volume to about a 1/4 but with the Bose I have to adjust it to about 60% to have the same level of sound. That shouldn't be but hey it is what it is

This is he second Bose Wireless Portable 2 Speaker I have purchased. The quality of the sound is perfect. It is very easy to setup and use. I would recommend this speaker as a wonderful gift or for any other reason for a person who loves music. I use it with my smart phone and Pandora. It is great! Bob M. Southern California

Great little speaker. My only issue is with the docking cradle. It is EXTREMELY finicky and will often not charge because it is not sitting perfectly on the docking cradle. Once you do get it to start charging, it will spontaneously stop, even though nothing has been touched. It's that sensitive. Fortunately, the micro-USB cable can be attached directly to the speaker to charge it without using the docking cradle. I don't try to use the docking cradle at all. This is my only complaint. In typical Bose fashion, the speaker puts out an amazing amount of sound for its size.

This is my fourth Bose Mini SoundLink. I have one on a bicycle, one by my easy chair and it's wirelessly connected to the TV. An older model that I had bought used off eBay works just fine and I gave it to a friend. This latest black model I gave us a gift to my brother and his wife and they absolutely loved it. The sound will not be matched by any other brand of speaker in this size range. By the way I have also owned the Bose big SoundLink and made a gift of it to my sister. The SoundLink Mini 2 has added features that the original SoundLink mini did not have. I think the best Improvement was in the voice prompt that this new one gives you to tell what battery level you have, and which device it is connected to! The shape is Sleek and contemporary, and the bottom no slip pad keeps it and place wherever you set it. My only complaint, if it could be characterized that way, is the lack of a mute button that the earlier model had. In this new one, your only option to stop the sound is to turn it off. That's okay but a mute button would have been more to my liking. Thank you Bose, for another beautifully sounding speaker.Read full review
