    Best zombie game this generation.

    Dead Island is for the Zombie survivalist in you. It features an open world environment, many customizable melee weapons, a few guns, four main characters to choose from, and various types of undead troublemakers that have taken over a resort island. You'll slash, stab and thump your way through the zombie horde while helping the island's less fortunate souls on your mission to escape the infected area. Team up with up to 4 players online for co-op action. The game is a lot of fun but is not without it's issues, there are numerous technical glitches and visual hitches like screen tearing and graphical pop-in but what the game lacks in polish it makes up for in overall graphical appearance (which is highly detailed), atmosphere, and addictive zombie slaying good times.     Great Game once the patches are downloaded!!!

    I bought this game so that I could have a left for dead experience that was also a Role Playing Game. It delivered, but not entirely. My word of advice to those that normally dont play online is to connect to the internet to download the two new patches for this game. Without them the game has major bugs. The first is that it will not save properly, causing hours to be lost. However once i downloaded the patches I found the game to be wonderful.

    Great fun, didn't want to put it down at any point.

    In short this was a great game and I enjoyed it alot more then i would have been led by critics reviews to believe. This is less of a review and more of somethings i wanted to say about the game to anyone considering buying it. The game was well over 40 hours and i enjoyed every minute of it. I strongly suggest changing the controls under the option menu from the defualt setting of digital,to analog mode. Under digital mode you just press one button to swing your weapon, in analog mode you use the left thumb stick to control the position of your weapon and its swing: might be more difficult at first but makes the game a whole lot more enjoyable in the end. Also the zombies level up as you do, so no matter where you go on any of the giant maps, it will never become too easy. When the game ...

    A must have for zombie slayers!

    I had been looking for this game for quite some time. I had bid on many copies, but I finally was able to win one. This game is a must for anyone who enjoys a good zombie bashing. I will admit, parts of the game are hard, but the reward is worth it. With a choice of four characters, it's easy to find one to find your own play style. Driving-nothing compares to getting into a lorry and mowing down some undead.
