Plantronics .Audio 355 Headphones Actually, I'm an audiophile from way back. I've tried, and owned, many many headphones; so anytime there is a brand that I've not tried, I may buy it for performance. I'd noticed Plantronics headsets for a long time, mostly earphones, or a 1 sided earphone, but here were headphones, plus a mic, switch, dual inputs + a protective headband. How would the Plantronics fit into my average Sony's and Vibe's, and better JBL's, Sennheiser's + Martin Logan's? As I did listen to them for a while, they didn't have the best bass or highs, and are only mediocre, being around an average Sony. The Plantronics highs and bass, would be a little less than a Sony, but because of their mic, dual inputs and switch, would average out with a Sony, the Plantronics would be a much more efficient product than an average Sony. On the audiophile side, the Plantronics don't have near the crisp punchy bass of JBL's, and nowhere near the airy highs of Martin Logan's [some Martin Logan's are designed to replicate the highs of electrostatic's, which are truly remarkable]. Thus on the audiophile side, Plantronic's are lacking quite a bit. On the convenience side, with a passable bass and highs, along with a mic, dual inputs and a switch, the Plantronics do get the job done, at a reasonable price; being much better than Ematics and Vibes, which are at the low end of headphones. These Plantronics are not wireless, and not Bluetooth, which is a form of wireless. As for colors, I rate a headphone higher if it has great colors, like a white/orange JBL j55i, or a dark blue Skullcandy Navigator which looks like sunglasses, or purple Nakamichi fashion's, not the ordinary black, gray or white headphone such as these Plantronics. The Plantronics looks are about average, but because of their soft protective headband for longer wear times, vs. no headband such as a metal or a plastic band, I'd give them a better rating. As for design, I'd rate them below average, as they are not foldable [good for traveling], and are not rotatable [also good for packing and traveling], however, these qualities are usually found in more expensive phones. The overall build quality is not the best, although they appear sturdy, as most Plantronics devices. The mic, dual inputs and switch, do contribute to the Plantronics being a better headphone. For a gaming headset, I'd rate Plantronics about average, as I've many pair's of Turtle Beach's + Razer's, being much more comfy + noise canceling. So, convenience wise, I did like the Plantronics, because of the extras, but audiophile wise, they were not the best, and they failed at being colorful. I bought them, because I'd never tried Plantronics, and really preferred a haadphone, over an earphone, or small one sided earphone as most Plantronics are. Their expectations, fit right where I expected the Plantronics to be, not near the best for audiophiles, possibly a D in the A to F range, but very convenient for getting work done such as communicating and mic use for dictation, probably a B out of the A to F range, and an F in the color and design department. For long term use, I'd rate the Plantronics a B-, comfortable enough for a longer session. So the Plantronics's are better than average for the extras, but about average for sounds + build quality, and fail in the colors, and being foldable and rotatable. Still, the Plantronics 355's are a little better than most of the competition in their price rangeRead full review
This is a great headset for the price. You get very clear voice out of the microphone (sounds like you do in the real world) and the ear speakers are very clear. They have some bass, which is a nice plus. The down side is that these have a lot of pressure on my ears (even adjusted loose) and hurts my ears where my glasses are. I'll look into a new headset when this one fails that checks that box too.

For the price they are a great deal. You are not getting a $200 headset, you are getting a cheap headset but it works well, I have had no problems, it is confortable and it works well for phone calls and listening to audiobooks which is all I bought it for.
Good product and great sound!

I am probably just cheap, but this seems to be the best headset I have ever owned.
