I used cad in the mid 1980's and have some projects now that will require 3d printing. I have tried draftsight and tinker cad. and others. Solid-works student is crippled to not to generate stl though there is a work around, I tried openscap meh, So I decided ViaCad was worth a shot. reasonable documentation is pretty good pdf and video's as well as a book for version 9. So far pretty happy. I run the program with wine, on my mint/linux laptop, everything works except the video link. and I can open the folder and run them not a biggie. I tried the steam version I would advise against Steam there client tracks your hours weather or not you use so then they give you no refund.
