Much is made of WiFi adapters claiming ultrahigh speeds. This sounds great, except that my fastest internet speed is tiered by Comcast at 240Mb/s. I cannot achieve speeds faster than that by purchasing a souped up WiFi adapter. So, I paid $24 on eBay for this Rosewill adapter, which is 802.11ac compliant and downloads just fine, particularly on 5GHz. Even if I were to plug my PC's GigE port directly into my gateway, I'd still access the web at a maximum 240Mb/s. Go ahead and purchase this adapter, and don't fret about going faster, unless you've got a flaming ultrafast Internet connection from, say, Summit Broadband, in which case my hat's off to you... You're GigE ethernet connection will likely outperform any WiFi signal at your house, so if you're a fanatical gamer... let 'er rip! Read full review
