This product worked perfectly on my HL-3170CDW. Machining quality was fine, dimensions within .001" of my original part, and certainly no problems with overheating (indeed, since this part does not do the heating it's hard to imagine how these could cause overheating.) My printer now performs like a new machine. Installation is not a picnic, but within the grasp of a typical home hobbyist. Shipping was quick.
