The game is a typical dungeon game. I haven't finished it yet, but I as I have made progress I see how the game becomes more challenging and more options become available, which ultimately become a need more than an extra in order to continue making progress in the game. It do might get somewhat repetitive if you seek to properly build up the character and the different weapons. Overall I'm quite pleased since it is quite challenging while not being very complicated for a game of the dungeon gender.
I think a lot of people might be turned off by the game because they expect it to be something it's not. If you take it for what it is - an episodic, "pick-up-at-any-time" dungeon crawler game, it's an excellent game. The dungeons are randomly generated and the fighting is all strategic. It's not about powerlevelling or tapping a single button, it's about using the terrain and the variety of items at your disposal to be lightweight like a ninja, use all available resources and vanquish your enemy. For people who like a good challenge and a unique battle and dungeon system, Izuna is the game for you.
These games are great fun and challenging. Classic dungion rpg at its best, makes for a more plan ahead role play. Every move you make in a dungion your foes make a move,if you dont move your foes will not move. And each time you leave and return to a dungion, its different each time. A+ on fun and replay.
This game is excellent. It's very witty and funny. It is a bit on the small side in terms of exploration but if you can get past that you will enjoy this wonderfully funny game.
I like it because of the classic dungeon style gameplay. It had funny, highly sarcastic conversation between characters in the game. Izuna is a fun character to base a game around.
