Let me preface this by saying: If you think this is a Game Boy port of Cool Spot for SNES/Genesis, that's not the case: this is a completely different game, just the same character. Anyways, that bit of confusion out of the way, there's not really much to say about the game itself, as it's a simple port of the popular board game Reversi, also known as Othello, with not really much else added apart from a pretty good soundtrack by Geoff Follin.

A good challenging strategy game if you like the NES version. Sadly the Gameboy failed to make this as a Game Link cartridge. They could have used the Four Player Adapter to recreate the game faithfully though the simple black & white graphics would have made it confusing. Instead, this is a single player game where you can play against the computer whenever you're on the go.

let me start by saying this game was created for the original game boy. the old grey cart's. if you are expecting a scaled down version of the SNES game think again. im only rating it average, because im not sure AT ALL how to play this strange "connect four" looking game, i bought it and immediiatly plugged it into my SNES gameboy adapter to play it on the tv and was shocked and upset that i had bought this one. if your a puzzle gamer, it may be right up your alley, but if youre expecting it to be a scaled down version of the SNES game.. don't look twice
this is not the fun game like saga's genisis'es version its a boreing jeneric version of go if you love the board game go you might like this but other wise pass it by
