The features I liked most about the eero, before buying, was the ability to set profiles and control wifi access, and it creates a mesh network for seamless access. The speed has been a very pleasant surprise. We're consistently getting at the top range of our ISP's speed profile, on both upstream and downstream. We had ATT Uverse and the gateway they installed could not get these speeds via Wifi. Eero does.

We were considering Google's new wifi system, but on the advice of a colleague who is an IT expert, we chose eero instead. We made the right decision. eero is awesome. Setup is super easy, and it's by far the most reliable and most stable wifi system I have ever used. My application is a two story house at roughly 2,000 square feet, and roughly a dozen devices, with a regular flow of guests. After a couple of months I haven't once had a dead spot, freeze, dropped connection, etc. I had those regularly with my old Netgear wifi router. The eero matrix makes wifi more widely available throughout the entire house, as well as outside on my deck where I need it to sync to my golf flight monitor. Another issue that eero has fixed for me is the chronic issues my iOS devices had connecting to my previous Netgear network. Most iOS devices, including at least one iPhone and two iPads, constantly disconnected from our network. The only way to reconnect was to reenter the wifi network name and password every time. With eero we have never had a device drop off the network. The device management features allows you to block devices from the network or reenable them at a tap of the screen. Sharing the guest network is a breeze through sms, email or scanning the QR code. Making changes to the network is incredibly easy. Renaming the network, changing the password, etc. are trivial through the app. Doing those things on a typical wifi network can be an incredibly frustrating experience. Admin with eero is like it's portrayed in sci-fi movies, you can walk around the house tapping settings on your phone without even having to put down your cocktail. Family profiles allow you to pause the network for specific devices at specific times, potentially useful as our little brats get older and will eventually start to use the network. I haven't delved into the advanced network settings, but it looks like there's enough detail and features to satisfy even moderately complex network needs. This system is so good I'm considering using it at my business as well. Thank you eero for making wifi a pleasure to use. This is the Apple of wifi systems, it just works. All the time.Read full review

Easy plug & play system. Phone app walks you through step by step on each piece of equipment. Indicates if beacon placement is in a good location to achieve coverage. Beacon has LED indicator when connected. I finally have WiFi across my house to cover three TV's, three phones, ans an alarm system without buffering or slow response times! The phone app lets you what is attached to system and what speed the upload and download for each device. It has controls to shut down WiFi if needed. The device only has two LAN/Ethernet ports. I bought a switch box to add more ports to connect to home computer, alarm system, modem, etc. Total set up was less than 30 minutes.

I’ve had my AirPort Extreme/Airport express setup for 5 good years. Since the “new” home is an old house full of aluminum backed insulation and stones, the traditional router and extender system just wasn’t cutting it. Dead spots and high latency plagued our network. The bedroom was hardly getting 15mbps with over 55ping. I went from box to surfing in 20 minutes with twice the speed and coverage of my previous setup. App is polished and easy to use. Setting up port forward, custom DNS, and user profiles is very intuitive. All of our 50+ devices are happy data munchers. The aforementioned bedroom now rocks 200+mbps and 20 Ping. Awesome.

I was skeptical, had a nice wireless router before. I didn’t get strong signal on the far end of my ranch style home. The set up took 10 min or so, and I have super strong signal all over my house now! Seamless, easy to follow app instructions, and the nightlight feature is pretty cool also.
