I received the trackball mouse a few days ago, and tried it as mouse replacement, The good thing was it worked immediately when connected to the computer (Windows 7 64bit), Working with it as mouse was hard, the ball is moving too freely (not even a slight friction or resistance I would expect' to make an easier control of cursor movement, The three buttons which suppose to change the "speed" or accuracy made no significant change. (Maybe requires a driver installation?). The is no instructions in English. Only Japanese on the box and no user manual. It worked for me to scroll forward through video clip in video editing program, but with the help of a regular mouse in my other hand (Premiere Pro CS6), Scrolling backward was not responsive in the same way, Bottom line: It may need more practice to get used to, may need a (missing ?) driver, and have no friction on the ball movement.Read full review

Well I have been disappointed in this product. The track ball sticky hard to move smoothly and accurately, no matter how often I cleaned it, or used some lubricant in hope of make it better, but no change at all. I wouldn't recommend this product! The design of it is confortable however, but apart from that not good at all!

This is my third wired trackball. I've never used the famed Microsoft one and those sell second hand for a small fortune. This has 4 tracking speeds, and on the top 3 there's dynamic adjustment, so a slight movement gives fine grained movement and a rapid movement gives a much larger jump. It has the standard 5 buttons + a tracking speed adjustment button, which cycles through the speeds. The main three buttons (including the wheel for middle click) and the layout are very ergonomic, but the rest are not and this has been the case even with Microsoft mice. The main buttons are easy to click but the rest are kind of hard and initially very stiff. The wheel can be tilted sideways for horizontal scrolling. Never has this on any rodent before, but doing this for a long time could leave you with painful wrist, on this model at least.Read full review
