The only hangup I have with this device is the fact that in order to use most of its preloaded apps properly or save progress with any of them, you must register a parent's personal email address amongst other personal information. The problem I have with 'registering' my personal info into a device is that registration of ANYTHING grants automatic permission to those who seek to track you. Sooo, in MY opinion, it's best to just have plenty of game cartridges to insert into the device.
