Right out of the box. I ordered two, with the intent to pair them with ONE dongle. Online instructions make that easy. Takes about 10 seconds. I move my laptop from location to location in my work. I have multiple power adapters, one for each semi-regular location. Now, I have four M525's for the same . If, for some unexplained reason, the dongle should die, I can re-program each 525 to the new dongle(s) that I kept.

This is a fantastic mouse with no problems so far. The mouse was a bit smaller than I thought, and mind you I do have small hands. However, it fits me well so I have no complaints about it. It is very light and portable because of its size. If you don't want to keep your mouse USB receiver in where ever it's used in, you can put it inside your mouse where the battery compartment is. It has a remarkable battery life and hasn't died on me yet (requires 2 AA Batteries). This is told to have up to 3 years of battrry life, and I believe that it can reach that far. This is partially because of it's sleep mode that activates when it's not used for a certain amount of time. So far there hasn't been any problems with bluetooth. I haven't seen any lag or connection problems yet. The scroll wheel Is very smooth and has little to no bumps when you scroll it, making it very easy to glide. I believe that this is meant for hard surfaces, as it seemed to have some difficulty surfacing over surfaces like a mouse pad (From my own experience ). One of Logitech's most apparently simple designs, this little mouse is big enough to use, small enough to transport around, reasonable battery life, and robust enough for floor bounces. The Unifying receiver software is more solid and trouble-free than the standard nano unit, and works happily on XP and Win 7 in my experience. At these discount prices, it's good value for money.

Product has good feel and moves in a nice comfortable way. Buttons are somewhat stiff/firm but this prevents accidental click. Scroll wheel is way too free and is very easy to move when you click a button. This remedied by keeping finger well off wheel. I would prefer to be able to rest my finger on wheel. On/ off button for power is easy to use and it appears that it has a sleep mode to extend battery life. The listing had "features: rechargeable batteries" and product also stated rechargeable batteries. This is not the case with this seller I got mouse from. Seller was very lame in response to this obvious deception. I will never buy from this seller again. Overall I'm pleased with product and disgusted with seller
