I am a big fan of Lifeproof cases. They are not exactly stylish but I will take protection over style any day and in that area they excel. Used Lifeproof with my previous iPhone 5S and knew I would use again fro my new 8+. This case although listed as used was in like new condition and I was very pleased with it. My old phone has no dings or scratches due to my keeping it in a Lifeproof case. You will not regret investing a little extra money in their cases especially if you are a dropper!

This case broke on the first or second day that I used it. The little cover that snaps in and out of place to cover the charging port when not in use broke. I did not even notice when it broke, but the plastic was cracked and it fell right off. I'm not sure if the plastic was brittle because the product was old and may have been stored under conditions that caused it to degrade? It may not be the vendor's fault, but I did not have this problem with my previous case. The little door on the bottom seemed to not fit snugly in the first place. It made me wonder if this was in a batch that had a defect? The switch that mutes and unmutes the phone also does not really work, even when I put effort into aligning it correctly. Other versions of this case are good, but the one I bought was off.

Super durable, and keeps the phone brand new for years. The only downside is that over time, dust and moisture(I’m in construction), block the microphone port making it very difficult for people to hear me. Very good case otherwise.

I just upgraded to iPhone 8 Plus from 6s. Had the same case on the 6s and it worked perfectly. The 8 plus case has a small flaw. The ringer button switch does not work properly. It is too stiff and if the phone is inserted incorrectly, the case automatically switches the ringer to the off position.. Discovered this after placing the phone in the case and wondered why I could not hear the phone ring etc. Reinstalled the case a couple times and now the ringer is in the on position. Overall, the case is great, water proof and durable.

This “Lifeproof” case isn’t what I was expecting. My son has the same case and he can turn his on silent and so can my other son, but I can’t turn mine on silent and when I try to put it in the case it doesn’t want to go in correctly it will go to silent and then I can’t get it back to ring mode. I’m so very disappointed in this case that I wish I hadn’t bought it.
