If you can play a better port of the original, do it. I know I blew a lot of quarters on this game back in the day. The Genesis version is passable, and if you have a Nomad handy this might make for a nice diversion, especially if you could get a second player involved. This game had a great premise which has never been utilized that well in similar games. The closest things to be made recently were probably War of the Monsters and the newer Godzilla game. If you like giant monster/robot/humanoid urban battle royales, give this game a try. Hey! Anybody remember "Movie Monsters" by Epyx for the C-64? Let's see them remake that for PS3 and 360! Nothing matches the Neo Geo, but as a Genesis port, this is one is well done. The graphics are well done, the sound is passable. Controls are typical compared the arcade original. Please note: All console ports give you 4 monsters and 4 cities instead of 6 like the Neo Geo.
