Knock-offs are usually poor quality and don't work. The GO-TCHA is definitely a knock-off, but with none of the usual problems. Pretty easy to use (a bit of a learning curve but there IS documentation!), functions all work as advertised, battery life is excellent, and it even includes features the original GO Plus lacks (screen, auto-catch/spin). The game sees the device as a GO Plus, so all in-game interactions are the same. The GO-TCHA has settings catch, spin, catch only new Pokémon, vibrate, etc, and to change them you just tap to the desired one and long press the one button to change it. Very easy! I've used it to auto-spin and catch in a high-density pokestop area, and it spins and catches while the phone is in my pocket. Highly recommended!

When I first got this, I loved it! It quickly and easily captured Pokemon and Pokestops. After a couple of days it was having issues connecting to the app, and it would never tell me if it disconnected. I went back to my original Pokemon Go+. The band is VERY easily stained with everyday dirt and grime. Charging it was difficult since it wouldn't want to stay in its charger. The cord is too short to set it on something so it has to dangle off of the wall adapter or computer USB plug, which makes keeping it in the charger difficult. Was very excited for this device, but I guess buying off brand products is always a risk.

The product works as advertised. It presents itself to the game as Go+. But it is also somewhat bound by the Go+ rules of prioritizing catching over spinning. You can use it just like the go and just tap to catch, but it does have auto catch and auto spin features. That is where for me it works best. I do not use it to auto catch, I do not want a bin full of Pokemon to delete occasionally, so I have turned the catch notification off in the game and set the device only to spin stops. It will do so even if I am trying to catch actively so it works out just the way I would like it to. It is rechargeable which keeps me from having to buy coin cells, and with the purchase of a solid black band (unfortunately not included) off the net, it looks very similar to some sort of fitness band and is fairly unobtrusive to wear (no flashing lights, etc.) The one down side I have is the vibration motor is noisy as all get-out. Worn under a coat sleeve it is not bad, carried in a pocket is it not too bad either, out in the open it is quite loud... Read full review

I slightly misunderstood the product. People told me that it would throw a ball and be a 50/50 chance to catch the pokemon -- but that it also has an auto catch feature. I took this to mean it has a feature that will auto-SUCCEED, I was wrong. They meant there is a difference from the setting that it can either: A) Notify you of a pokemon to catch on your own or B) Notify you that one showed up and it threw a ball at it. So that's my fault. The product itself works perfectly. You don't need to be on your phone and it will spin every stop for you, and tracks egg steps better than normal. You still gain EXP and Stardust from the catches as well, so auto catch is great if you can't get to your phone and don't want to miss out -- otherwise just let it tell you something is there and catch it yourself.Read full review

The GO-TCHA does everything as described. It is nice to use on Auto Catch/Spin when you are busy doing whatever (at work), or walking and cannot have your hands pushing buttons. A few emotional expectations: you will have many mon flee from you with the auto catch. But, you will catch much more. Make sure you have lots of poke balls (red ones) and space in your poke bag. It will fill up fast.
