Frosty FIFA
So this was my first FIFA game in a good while. Took some time researching which one ... So this was my first FIFA game in a good while. Took some time researching which one was the best in the last ten years as these games come out each year and not much changes to them. So was definitely looking for something different. FIFA 17 rose to the top because it was the first time the game was powered by the frost bite engine. Having played other games powered by frost bite, I knew this would be a good thing. Overall the game is well done. Nothing new except smoother animation as a result of the engine. The only major draw back is the lack of a tutorial when it comes to understanding what needs to be done during the skills challenges. Just it tells you press O or X to shoot or pass the ball but other than that, no other info on how to get a great challenge score. Maybe if I had previous titles this would have been explained. Anywhom I would not pass up on this game as the reviews show that years 18,19,20, and 21 are not all that great. 22 should be for next gen console so that’s a different story.

The control is superb so really need to see the ball in the players feet to defend or dribble. To make matters worse, the indicator to show which player you're actively controlling is just as tiny, and the text in messages of career mode or training is just as small and printed in white. Terrible design but an otherwise phenomenal game. Shame I can't play it without sitting 10" away from a 42" TV...
