I gave it 4 stars for only 1 reason, I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and apparently there are issues known with this charger. It took me a bit of hunting to find the resolution and it was on youtube. It has to do with orienting the coils whatever that mean. Once i did the simple trick my phone connected and bamm it's started charging and hasn't had any issues since. Works great in both the house and connected in my truck. I'd recommend it to anyone specially at the cheap price compared to the hugely inflated prices other brands want with features you could care less about in a plain charger.

My charging port no longer works on my galaxy s9+. Therefore, I have used wireless chargers for the last few years. This samsung fast charger is the worst I've tried thus far. From 11:30am to 5:45pm, my phone went from 19% to 88%. My past wireless chargers (not samsung branded) charged my phone fully in less than 1 hour. This purchase was a mistake.

This is a solid unit. However it's touchy. If you have a phone case it may or may not work. Without a case it works without hesitation about 90% of the time. With a case it only works about 25% of the time. You have to shake the phone and rub it back and forth on the pad to make a solid connection. Sometimes even unplug the entire unit. I'm using an otterbox with a Samsung S8+. I had a different slimline case on the phone but a small metal stand caused too many issues. I'm still happy with the charger, just be aware of the potential charging issues if you use a protective phone case.

If you have a wireless charge capable phone, you really must have these. I have 6 of them all around the house. My wife and I each have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and it is great to just put the phone on a charger next to the bed and in other rooms that we are in often - office, kitchen, family room, dining room. There are 2 restrictions about using them. You can't have a thick phone cover. You can't have a cover with a metal plate or magnet like for a car mount. Other than that, it really saves the wear and tear on the charging port of the phone. No more trying to plug in the USB cable in the dark, just lay the phone on the charging pad. Now that the price has come down on these, I am putting them everywhere. My mother has a Galaxy s6 which also can use it and it is great and easy for her to use. Get One!Read full review
