This device comes with no “user’s guide or manual”. It comes with a diagram of how to plug it in and connect it to the router, turn it on and it also give you a web address to sign into to get setup instructions. Basic setup is fairly easy, just follow the online instructions. Learning to configure and actually use this device takes a bit of research and probably a few calls to WD Support. I haven’t owned this very long; I’m still going through the learning process. I'm using two WD 6 TB Red NAS drives in a RAID 1 configuration, which means the second drive backs up the data on the first drive. If the first drive fails, my data is saved on the second. Keeping that in mind, you may want to opt for larger capacity drives.
