The Seek thermal imaging camera is an inexpensive way to get thermal camera function for your phone. The small size belies the big function of the imager! If you find a better imager for the price, buy it!

I am very impressed with this tool, I have been using IR cameras for around 6 years and have used a number of camera including the FLIR E-60 and the fluke TI-45. This camera beats the Fluke TI-45 for picture clarity the Fluke is 240x120 it's just not that good, the seek has 320x240 this is a great picture that will compete with the Flir yes the flir E-60 a 6000.00 camera. Now the seek only has a frequency of 15hz that is a con vs Flir having a 60hz frequency frame rate. There is no report generating software so you will need to create you own template. Over all this is a great tool not a toy as long as you get the model with the 320x240 res, anything less is just frustrating

It's really better than any chinese parody on thermal camera with 90x80 matrix and 5fps. Only one upsets me - internal tapping while working. I know that it's necessary but it's realy annoying me.

Most homeowners think they need new windows or a solar energy system to be more energy efficient. While those items will increase efficiency, they are quite expensive. During energy audits, the pictures you get from this device tend to open the eyes of the homeowner as to how the leaky areas of their house and and small underinsulated areas are contributing to energy loss. With the blower door depressurizing the house, I have the homeowner follow me around as we search the walls, floors, and ceiling for "blue" (cold) areas with the SEEK Compact PRO. Most homeowners remark that they have learned something. I have an earlier model SEEK thermal imager with lower resolution. I like the Compact PRO for its high resolution that makes it easier to distinguish what the photo subject is. I think it is a tremendous value compared to other manufacturers' 240x320 resolution thermal imagers, which sell for thousands of dollars. I am a HERS Rater, Certified Energy Auditor, and DOE Home Energy Score Assessor in a cold climate. I use this device on every job. I have to haul a lot of equipment around to jobs, and I appreciate the compact size of this powerful device.Read full review
