LR44 Battery Disappointing
Sad to be the bearer of not so good news. My 30 year old calculator batteries finally died, so I pried open the battery compartment to determine the correct battery. It was clearly marked LR44. I promptly ordered some replacement batteries from eBay. A month went by-no batteries, not much in the way of an explanation-I was offered an option to cancel my order-which I did. I promptly re-ordered. The new batteries came a few days ago. I installed the pair of LR44 batteries as they were previously oriented. The calculator powered on, however, the functions do not work as they should. I should mention that previously, even with the old batteries, the calculator was operating normally. The reason I decided to replace the batteries was because I could barley read the numerals. The functions ... Sad to be the bearer of not so good news. It normally allows the user to toggle between the STAT mode and the FIN (financial) mode that I normally use. The calculator does not seem to operate normally with the new LR44 batteries that were purchased from your vendor. Sorry. I am open to trying other options. Sorry, the middle image is of the new batteries (LR44) installed in the calculator. The battery slots are polarized so that it would be difficult to install them incorrectly. The third image (on the right) is of the replacement LR44 batteries. As far as I could tell, they were all alike.
