Pros: I don't believe you will find a better bang for the buck. Small and lightweight. Fairly good sound. Cons: Volume does not go all the way down. You have to supplement the volume control through your computer's settings. Low end only goes down to 200hz which I didn't notice when I read the description. I would have preferred more low end. The manufacturer write up boasts of 120w output. It seems more like a 30 to 50 watt to me. All in all, recommended if you want a descent speaker for the cost. If you want better, spend more.

My old speakers had been used for many years. Insignia is a good brand and I wanted an on/off switch which not all speakers have. I'm not real fussy about sound quality. bu these sound fine to me. Also did not want anything too large.

Most new flat screen TV's don't have good speakers because they are so thin, they put in very small speakers. One option is to use computer speakers like these and you plug in through the headphone input. These speakers worked great for that and the sound quality is much improved, plus they are small and you can lay them sideways so they look like a sound bar.
