This replacement battery took my Zenwatch 3 from about 8 hours of runtime with ambient screen turned off and battery saver on, to about 16 hours a day with ambient screen turned on and battery saver turned off. I could probably get a lot more time if I turned off the ambient screen, but I really like that feature and as long as I plug it in at night it works great. The one thing I will say is that while this is rated at the same mAh as the original battery, it does not seem to operate quite as well. I could get 2 days on a charge when the original battery was new, in comparison. But that's not a huge complaint, as it still allows me to go all day now and use it as intended.

I've had my Zenwatch 3 for years now, I got it after owning the Zenwatch 2 before it. I still think the Zenwatch 3 is THE best looking smart watch. But the whole Wear OS platform has been a horrible disappointment I think. So when my battery recently got bad, I kinda looked around at what new watches are currently available, but I wasn't too impressed with anything. So I wasn't sure anymore if I'm willing to spend more money now on a new watch, that I don't really like much, and on a dying platform... So I just kept using my watch. But it got so bad that it wouldn't hold a full charge for more than an hour maybe. So I was just used to seeing it off every time I looked at it lately. So when I saw this battery here, I researched online what it would take to open the watch and swap the batteries. Turns out it's very very easy to do, you just need the right screwdriver (T5 Torx) open the 4 tiny screws, open the watch, the battery is right there, you just pop it out, pop in the new one in it's place, and done, close it up. And I'm glad to say, it worked out fantastically well for me. It's working as good as the day I first bought the watch. I'm really glad I bought itRead full review

It worked - my watch has more battery life than it ever had - and the problem of sharply dropping life is fixed. There was a screwdriver in the kit - not the right size - you need a Torx T8. I got one and all was good. It took a little fiddling to get in - but the is probably the watch design. No real instructions in the box - but then you should be prepared for a bit of complexity if you want to do this. iFixit has a very rough disassembly note.

Much easier than I assumed to install. Working great so far although charges much slower than the battery that came with my watch.

Good seemingly OEM replacement battery, but it did require some modification and playing around for it to fit properly and work with my watch, especially lining up the contacts on the ribbon cable. In the end it works, and breathe new life into my failed watch.
