The tablet setup itself is very good...nice, vibrant screen, detachable keyboard, and android 7.0. However, it doesn't take long before you realize that the 1GB RAM installed in this unit isn't enough for everyday use. I have tried to use RAM boosters to help with RAM management, but it doesn't seem to help. The OS itself uses 65% of the memory, not allowing much of anything else to run for too long. You will need to get used to long loading times, screen freezes, and apps shutting down due to not responding. A couple apps I used started off nice and fast, but the longer I used them, the more they would get choppy or screen freeze for about 5 seconds.

Pros: Inexpensive, a relatively recent version of Android, performance and keyboard better than expected. Solid hinge and magnetic attachment for keyboard. USB Type-C charging. Keyboard has two USB ports. Android build seems mostly stock, with not a lot of mods. It's low resolution and lower midrange processor seems perfect for a portable device like this, and doesn't suck down the battery too quickly. Cons: Keyboard does not have an additional battery and is just a dumb attachment for the screen. Tablet is very obscure and there's no availability of source, third party firmware, or even a way to install Linux on the system. Touch pad is awful, and cannot be permanently disabled, has to be disabled again every time you turn the tablet on. Only 1GB of memory, and the OS tends to use up a lot of that. The headphone jack weakened the back shell, and that lead to a crack on the back of the device, but that hasn't lead to any serious issues yet. I'd love to have a modern version of this system with a tiny bit more memory, but nobody seems to be making android tablets with keyboards anymore.Read full review

These tablets use a 5 watt 3 amp power source if you use your cellphone charger your battery life will diminish very quickly and it will take forever to charge! Use the factory power supply. These are nice tablets great for streaming shows web browsing and play store apps, myself I haven't tried to push it just what I normally used my old one for which was an Asus, got to the point where you couldn't upgrade the Android on it and the apps wouldn't install on it. Saw the insignia and am very happy with it! Buying a Windows version of it,see how that one works.
