It took me a few tries to figure out how to get things to link and unlink using this type of dongle with my laptop, which for some reason was made without an internal bluetooth feather (HP15 Laptop). I figured out that the software that came with it was actually a problem when installed, so I uninstalled it and let the dongle work without it. I recommend trying it without first, if possible. I then found that the connection for the bluetooth to get a new device to hook-up to it was in a different location, down at the bottom right of my desktop screen, a bluetooth icon that you click on - you have to look for it. It's a bit complicated, but worth it once you figure it all out. Now I simply find the icon, click it, click on Add a Bluetooth Device, and go from there.

So iv'e had this for about 2 weeks and it worked great for what i'm using it for. Now today the Bluetooth stopped working. So I decided to unplug it and re-plug it back in to see if that would do the trick. Nope. It just crashes(blue screen) my PC as soon as it got plugged again. So my computer restarts and then crashes again. I unplug the Bluetooth adapter and fully shutdown and power up my PC and, thank god, it works again. I'm not using this thing again since I fear my computer might break. So please don't buy this! You will put your computer at risk, spend more money on a well known branded adapter.

I have to admit I was prepared for this to be more difficult than it was. I acquired a wireless keyboard for use with my Windows XP video recorder, but it was missing the pre-integrated dongle for the keyboard. I purchased the CSR4.0 in order to connect that keyboard and I found it provided what I needed and much more since it is a fully functional USB Bluetooth adapter that integrated seamlessly with the operating system - completely plug-and-play. Initially I found some connectivity problems in my configuration when the CSR4.0 adapter was plugged into a USB on the back of the machine (even connecting from less than 10 feet away). When I moved it to the front using an extension I had no more trouble with it. It connects to all devices according to documented Microsoft procedures. The only con with the adapter is that it constantly flashes its blue light and since the DVR machine is often used in a dark room I will need to find a way to dim or block the light.Read full review

Well it works as stated, connects Bluetooth devices to computers that lack Bluetooth. The range isn’t great, couldn’t move more that 2 feet away without my Xbox One Controller dropping the connection or my buttons wouldn’t work. Also had an issue connecting more than one device, tried to connect my Xbox One Controller and Headphones. They both were connected for about 10 minute then my headphones dropped connection, had to restart and repair pair the headphones but could get the controller to pair. Spend a little more money on the Asus Bluetooth adapter

The Bluetooth worked but it didn't do too well for my laptop it's an older laptop and I was trying to connect to the internet with my old little dongle and it didn't connect very well was hit and miss so I was hoping this upgraded one would connect better and it did not not saying that there's anything wrong with that Bluetooth but it just didn't do the distance and it's not like I'm far away because my house is only 802 square feet so I'm two rooms away but I'm sure it would work for the most part for things that you want to use it for
